Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer mobile services?

Yes. Most repairs and installations are completed on-site, typically right in your driveway using our well-stocked cargo van. We ensure every screen is drum-tight and properly fitted before we leave.

Where is your shop located?

The shop is located at 202 Water Street, Lucan, ON (look for our shop sign just off the main road).

Can I drop off my screens for repair?

Yes. You can drop off screens or doors at the Lucan shop to avoid a service call fee. If the office is closed, there are labeling forms and stickers on the front door to identify your items. Shop repairs are a great way to save on time and costs. See our drop-off guidelines for more details.

What is your warranty policy?

If you have an issue within 30 days, we will return to fix it for free under our 30-day satisfaction guarantee. After 30 days, we assist with manufacturer warranty claims. Read more about our Product & Service Concerns.

What is your cancellation policy?

There is no fee for the first cancellation or reschedule. We aim to be punctual and easy to work with, but a discretionary fee may be applied for frequent cancellations. View our full cancellation policy.

What are Pet Screens made of?

They are made of heavy-duty, vinyl-coated polyester mesh designed to resist tears and punctures. This reinforced mesh is significantly more durable than standard fiberglass mesh, making it a practical way to stop dogs and cats from tearing through your screens.

Do you install retractable screens?

Yes. We are an authorized installer for Canadian-made Mirage Retractable Screens for doors and large openings. These systems disappear when you don’t need them and are custom-calibrated on-site to ensure they glide smoothly.

How do I get an estimate?

You can book via the website, email info@dannsscreensandmore.com, or call 519-854-4904. When you reach out, we are available to help identify specialty hardware and guide you through the process. Sending photos via text, email or Facebook helps speed up the process.

What if I am missing the entire screen frame?

We can build new custom window screen frames from scratch in our shop. We keep a variety of colors and frame profiles in stock to ensure the new system looks original to your home.

Dann's Screens and More Terms & Policies

While we’re not big on “policies,” we do have a few guidelines we believe are important to ensure a smooth experience for everyone involved. These are designed to keep things fair, clear, and positive for both our customers and our team.

1. Product & Service Concerns

We take great pride in the quality of our work. If you experience any issues with our products or services within 30 days, please don’t hesitate to contact us — we’ll gladly return and make it right.

After 30 days, we’re happy to assist you in reaching the product manufacturer regarding any applicable warranties. Please note that all material sales and service charges are final. That said, we value fairness and will always consider each situation on a case-by-case basis.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We appreciate our customers' reliability and are proud to say cancellations are rare. That’s why we don’t charge a fee for the first cancellation or reschedule — we understand that life happens.

However, if cancellations or reschedules become frequent, we may implement a discretionary fee to cover lost time and wages. We’re confident this won’t be necessary — our customers are fantastic!

3. Drop-Offs at the Shop

We’re happy to offer a drop-off option for customers who prefer to bring their screens or doors to our shop for re-screening. This is a great way to avoid the standard on-site service call fee.

To help us stay organized, please ensure each individual item is clearly labeled with your name and preferred contact information.

If you have any questions about these policies, please feel free to reach out. We’re here to help and want to ensure you have the best experience possible.
